Denis W. Reed - Figurative Artist

Here's something you don't see every day paintings and drawings by a talented yet nearly unknown artist who worked hard and had talent but didn't have a professional career because he was confined to a psychiatric hospital. Denis W. Reed was confined to Glenside Psychiatric Hospital in Bristol, United Kingdom in the 1950s and 1960s.

The works are for sale on Ebay.

The seller provides links to an article in the British Journal of Psychiatry which show additional drawings by Mr. Reed. Untitled pictures (date unknown) by Denis Reed (1917–1979) - psychiatry in pictures by Christopher Ramsey, Peter Carpenter and Allan Beveridge
