Giovanni Segantini - symbolist

Giovanni Segantini learned to draw while earning a living as a boy hearding sheep in the hills of Italy. He finally began to earn a living in Milan as an artist and teacher. Wikipedia page. He was an outsider who spent time in refrom school and eventually lived in isolation in the Alps. WetCanvas biography.
