There is a new book out of paintings by Leona Wood. You can see about it at the website. She worked as a book illustrator and exhibited at the Julien Levy Gallery in New York. When the DeBeers Company produced its Diamonds are Forever campaign she illustrated many of the ads along with other artists. Wikipedia article. One is for sale on Ebay another one also.

Dora Carrington

Dora Carrington was an early feminist and a painter.

Dod Procter was a figurative artist that I just learned about. This image is from the Friends of the Leamington Art Gallery website. they contributed to the restoration of it in 2007. It is titled, "An Innocent or a New Day."

An exhibit of Charley Toorop's paintings is from 18 February To 09 May 2010 at the Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris.

Cedar Gallery has a biography and examples of her work. She was born in 1891 to a Dutch father and a mother who was of Indian/Chinese/British descent and died in 1955.
